This workshop is limited to 9 participants.

10-14 days before the workshop, you will receive another email with photography tips regarding the workshop and more specific workshop details. We are also going to include a waiver/photo release for you to sign. About a week after the workshop you will receive video(s) on how to process the photos you captured during the workshop.

Workshop Information

Our group is going to meet before sunrise in beautiful Ridgway, Colorado. From there, we will drive you to our favorite fall photography locations. All three instructors know this beautiful part of Colorado extremely well. With just three participants per instructor, we will make sure you will capture amazing images and learn new photography skills. This photography workshop is for all skill levels.

We hope you are as enthusiastic about photography as we are since this is a long day packed with numerous locations. There will be a lunch break in Ridgway but otherwise we will be out taking photos from sunrise to sunset. We will be parking close to the locations where we will be photographing. There is no strenuous hiking but there might be some slightly longer walks without much altitude gain depending on the foliage conditions.

We will send you tip sheets with useful photography knowledge regarding this trip before the workshop. After the workshop, we will send you a post-processing video with example photos captured during the workshop.

Segment 1, Segment 2, Segment 3, Segment 4?

We are offering fall workshops on several days this year. Two workshops are one day trips and two other segments are over two days. You can book either segment individually or you have the option to book several. We will visit most of the same locations during the different segments but often these locations can look completely different just a day apart with changing weather.

What you need

  • Camera and tripod
  • Extra batteries as this is a very long day of photography
  • We recommend a variety of lenses from wide angle to telephoto
  • Headlamp/Flashlight to walk around and find gear before sunrise or after sunset
  • Snacks and water
  • Warm layered clothing. Rain gear is always good to have just in case.

Lodging Suggestion

Ridgway would be the closest place to find lodging. However, if you are unable to find a room there, Montrose is a great alternative with numerous hotels just 30 minutes away (it is also a much cheaper option).

Refund Policy

If you cancel more than 90 days before the start of the workshop, we will refund all but 10% of the workshop fee.

If you cancel 60 to 90 days before the start of the workshop, we will refund all but 25% of the workshop fee.

If you cancel less than 60 days before the start of the workshop, there will be no refund. Exception: We will attempt to fill your spot and, if successful and the workshop is sold out, we will refund all but 25% of the workshop fee. You can always transfer your seat to someone else at no cost.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if a minimum number of participants is not met or in the event of an emergency. If a cancellation does occur, you will receive a full refund. No refunds will be given for delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, flights, health pandemics, natural disasters, civil unrest or other events beyond our control, either before, during, or after the workshop. We are not responsible for any additional costs you may incur due to delays or cancellations and therefore strongly recommend travel insurance to cover such costs.
