Our group is going to meet before sunrise in beautiful Ridgway, Colorado. From there, we will drive you to our favorite fall photography locations. All our instructors know this beautiful part of Colorado extremely well. With just three participants per instructor, we will make sure you will capture amazing images and learn new photography skills. This photography workshop is for all skill levels.
We hope you are as enthusiastic about photography as we are since this is a long day packed with numerous locations. There will be a lunch break in Ridgway but otherwise we will be out taking photos from sunrise to sunset. We will be parking close to the locations where we will be photographing. There is no strenuous hiking but there might be some slightly longer walks without much altitude gain depending on the foliage conditions.
We will send you tip sheets with useful photography knowledge regarding this trip before the workshop.
This workshop includes a Zoom class. The exact date and time of the Zoom class is yet to be determined. During the class, we will go over some post-processing ideas and examples. We will also answer any questions you might have. There will also be a recording of the Zoom class in case you are not able to make it.
Segment 1, Segment 2, Segment 3, Segment 4, Segment 5?
You can book either day individually or you have the option to book multiple days. We will visit some of the same locations each day but often these locations can look completely different just a day apart with changing weather. The Zoom class will be combined for all groups.
What you need
- General zoom lenses in the 14-35mm or 24-105mm range are recommended
- A tripod is very useful for focus stacking
- Extra batteries as these are very long days of photography
- Headlamp/Flashlight to walk around and find gear before sunrise or after sunset
- Snacks and water
- Layered clothing. Rain gear is always good to have just in case.
Ridgway would be the closest place to find lodging. However, if you are unable to find a room there, Montrose is a great alternative with numerous hotels just 30 minutes away (it is also a much cheaper option).
So why wait? Sign up for one of our workshops today and discover the artist within. We will drive you. Limited spaces available, book now!
