The workshop will end around 1:00AM MST on the 20th.
This includes a 2-3 hour long Zoom class a few days after the workshop. The date of the Zoom class is yet to be determined.

Where:
We meet in Lake City, Colorado. From there we will carpool and the instructors will drive you to the photography location.

Workshop Information

Looking for the perfect opportunity to capture the picturesque beauty of Colorado’s wildflowers and the dazzling expanse of the Milky Way in the Lake City area? Look no further! Join us and capture the vibrant colors of nature in all their splendor during the afternoon. After the sun sets, get ready to capture the Milky Way in all its majesty.

With expert guidance you are sure to hone your skills and capture breathtaking shots that you will cherish for a lifetime. Beginners are welcome. Do not miss out on this incredible opportunity to experience the best of both worlds with our exclusive photography workshop.

We will park close to our photography locations but there is some hiking/walking at high altitude.

Zoom Class

This workshop includes a Zoom class. The exact date and time of the Zoom class is yet to be determined. During the class, we will go over some post-processing ideas and examples. We will also answer any questions you might have. There will also be a recording of the Zoom class in case you are not able to make it.

What you need

Wildflower Photos

  • General zoom lenses in the 14-35mm or 24-105mm range are recommended
  • A tripod is very useful for focus stacking

Milky Way Photos

  • Camera capable of at least ISO 3200
  • Extra battery
  • Fast wide-angle lens (between 14mm and 24mm full-frame equivalent and f/2.8 or faster is ideal)
  • Sturdy tripod
  • Remote shutter release or use 2-second timer to avoid camera shake
  • Headlamp/Flashlight
  • Warm layered clothing. It does feel cold standing around at night.

Photography Workshop Policies

Refund Policy

Our photography workshops have limited seating and often sell out in advance. Refunds are given if the participant cancels up to 14 days prior to the scheduled workshop. All refunds are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.

Weather Policy

Our photography workshops usually take place rain or shine and we are always trying to make the most out of each situation. In the event of severe weather that may affect the safety of our participants, we would cancel the workshop and full refunds would be issued.
